Honest & transparent

Your privacy,
taken seriously.

We built QuickKeep to save your links — not your data. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and who can see it. No legal jargon.

Last updated: February 2026
No cookies  ·  No analytics  ·  No nonsense
We only collect what you choose to sync

Free users save everything locally — no account, no server, nothing leaves your device. If you upgrade to Pro or Team, your saves sync to Firebase (by Google) so you can access them across devices. We never read, sell, or share what you save.

No tracking, ever

There are no analytics, cookies, or tracking scripts inside the extension. We don't track what you browse, how often you use the app, or anything about your behavior. Your account email is used only for login — nothing else.

Permissions we ask for

QuickKeep needs permission to read the current tab's URL and title when you save, inject the quick-save overlay on pages, and store your saves locally or sync them to Firebase if you're on a paid plan. We never read page content unless you highlight text to save as a note.

You're in full control

Delete any save, clear your entire list, or cancel your plan anytime. Free users: uninstalling removes everything permanently. Pro/Team users: your cloud data stays in Firebase until you delete your account. Your personal saves are always private — team members can only see what you explicitly share to the team.

Third-party services we use

Paddle — Payments are processed by Paddle (our Merchant of Record). When you upgrade, your payment info is collected directly by Paddle. We never see your card details. Paddle Privacy Policy →

Firebase (by Google) — We use Firebase for cloud sync, database storage, and authentication for Pro and Team users. Firebase processes your email and saved content on our behalf to deliver the service. Firebase Privacy Policy →

Your Data Rights

You can delete your account and all associated data — saved URLs, notes, and profile information — at any time directly from the extension. Open the extension, click your profile icon, and select "Delete Account." Once deleted, your data is removed from our active databases permanently. We may retain certain transaction records for legal and tax purposes as required by Paddle.

Free users: no. Everything stays in your browser and we have no way to access it. Pro and Team users: your saves are stored in Firebase (Google's cloud), which we use to power sync. We never read, sell, or share your data.

Free users: yes, everything is local so it works fully offline. Pro and Team users: your saves are synced to the cloud, so you need an internet connection to save and load your list. Once loaded, the extension caches your recent saves so you can still browse them offline.

Free users: all data is permanently deleted when you uninstall — nothing lingers. Pro and Team users: your saves remain in Firebase after uninstalling.

Yes, possibly — but we'll always be upfront about it. If we make meaningful changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and note what changed in the Chrome Web Store changelog. We're committed to keeping this policy honest and free of legal jargon. If you have any questions about a change, you can always reach us at support@quickkeep.online.

Yes — two. Paddle for payment processing (Pro and Team plans), and Firebase by Google for cloud sync and authentication (Pro and Team plans). Free users have no third-party services at all. We do not use any analytics tools, ad networks, or tracking SDKs.

No. Personal saves are completely private — only you can see them. Team members only see pages you explicitly save using the "Team" button. Nothing in your personal list is ever shared automatically.

Only the team owner pays — $11.99/month for the whole group (up to 5 members). Members join for free using an invite link. They just need to create a free QuickKeep account with the email address they were invited with.

If the owner cancels their Team plan, the shared team collection becomes inaccessible. Each member keeps their own personal saves. We recommend the owner exports the shared collection before cancelling.
